Houston Rockets Summer League - Game 5 & Wrap-Up
The Rockets capped off the 2021 Summer League with a win over the Portland Trail Blazers 95-92. Armoni Brooks scored 30 points thanks to nine three-pointers and Josh Christopher added 20 points to lead the Rockets. With the win, the Rockets wrap up the Summer League with a record of 3-2. Here's a look at how their 14 players performed over the five games:

Jalen Green - Green was a Summer League star and scored 48 points in the Rockets two opening wins. Unfortunately a hamstring injury in Game 3 ended his Summer League season. Still, he finished with an average of 20.3 points per game while connecting on over 50% of his shots from the floor and hitting ten of nineteen three-pointers. He also shot 92.9% from the foul line.
Alperen Şengün - The Turkish big man put up some big numbers in his four starts. Şengün averaged 14.5 points, 10.8 rebounds and 3.0 blocks while shooting a team-high 28 free throws. Şengün's 43 rebounds and twelve blocks were also team-highs.
Josh Christopher - The only member of the Rockets to start all five Summer League games, Christopher scored a team-best 84 points and dished out a team-high 21 assists. He averaged 21 points per game in the two games where Jalen Green was sidelined, but he managed to make just six of 33 three-point attempts.
Usman Garuba - Garuba didn't see action until the third Summer League Game, but he saved his best performance for the finale against the Trail Blazers racking up eight points, ten rebounds, six assists and five steals in his only start. Garuba's 8.0 rebounds per game were second best on the team behind Şengün, but he shot just 33.3% from the field.
The Rostered Veterans
Armoni Brooks - Brooks played in just two games, and turned in the Rockets highest scoring performance of the Summer League in the finale with 30 points against the Trail Blazers.
Matt Hurt - Hurt appeared in all five of the Rockets' Summer League games, but was held scoreless in three of those outings. Hurt finished averaging 2.2 points and 1.8 rebounds while shooting just 28.6% from the field.
Anthony Lamb - Lamb also appeared in all five of the Rockets' Summer League games and made a pair of starts. He averaged 7.2 points and 5.4 rebounds and tied for the team lead in three-pointers made with ten.
Kenyon Martin Jr. - K-Mart started the first four Summer League games and averaged 12.5 points. As he went, so did the Rockets as he averaged 16.5 points in the opening two wins, but just 8.5 points in their subsequent two losses. Martin's twenty baskets were second-most behind Josh Christopher's team-high thirty.
Khyri Thomas - Thomas made a pair of starts for the Rockets (both wins) and averaged 10.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists. He struggled with his shot though making just five of eighteen from the field including one of seven from two-point range.
The Invitees
Marcus Foster - Foster appeared in four games and averaged 6.5 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists while shooting 44% from the floor. While he was extremely productive inside the arc hitting nine of thirteen two-pointers, he made just two of twelve from long range.
Tremont Waters - Waters started the final two games for the Rockets, and while he averaged a team-high 4.5 assists and 3.5 steals, he made just three of eighteen shots form the floor including one of nine from distance.
Trey Phills - Phills appeared in three games off the bench for the Rockets averaging 4.3 points while shooting a team best 57.1% from the field.
Justin Anderson - Anderson saved his best performance of the Summer League for the finale racking up nineteen points, five rebounds and four blocks in the win over the Trail Blazers. For the Summer across four games, Anderson averaged 6.3 points and 3.8 rebounds to go along with 2.0 blocks. Anderson struggled with his three-point shot converting just one of sixteen.
Jalen Tate - Tate scored just two points in three games, but did contribute five rebounds and three assists.
