Here's a look at the top 3 scoring performances of group play:
| Player | Team | Opponent | Points | Pro Team |
| Luka Dončić | Slovenia | Argentina | 48 | Dallas Mavericks |
| Rui Hachimura | Japan | Slovenia | 34 | Washington Wizards |
| Jordan Nwora | Nigeria | Germany | 33 | Milwaukee Bucks |
Some Notes:
- Of the three top performers, only Dončić will be moving on to the knockout round.
- Similarly, only Dončić's effort came in a victory. Hachimura's Japan lost to Dončić and Slovenia 116-81 and Nwora's Nigeria lost to Germany 99-92.
- Dončić (3rd pick overall in 2018) and Hachimura (9th pick overall in 2019) were both NBA lottery picks, but Nwora was drafted in the second round (45th pick overall) in 2020.
- Nwora won an NBA title with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2021, but he appeared in just 5 postseason games logging only 30 minutes.
- No other player in this year's tournament has eclipsed 30 points. Evan Fournier (France) scored 28 against the United States.
- Jayson Tatum had the highest scoring game by a U.S. player in the first round with 27 points against the Czech Republic.
